The Hunters Friend is one of the classic heirloom knives originally in the mid-late 1950's. This beautiful drop point design has stood the test of time as a knife blade that finds its place in the "best of" categories of field dressing, skinning and boning of game. The tip is slightly ground, so as to round off the drop point design and give this 9.1" knife a distinct look and feel. The blade length is 4.7" and features a blood groove. The satin finished blade is made of 4mm 1.4116 German Cutlery steel and has a Rockwell hardness of 55-57. This is a classic knife that has been used in every aspect of the outdoors, including Hunting, Fishing, Camping, Tactical, Survival and Bushcrafting. The knife comes with top grain leather sheaths that are 100 percent vegetable tanned and feature a rich, durable brown aniline finish that lets the full beauty of the leather show through.
